The network operation of urban rail transit has put forward higher requirements for emergency management. The Bridging Bus has become an effective emergency response strategy under the disruption of urban rail transit due to its advantages of good mobility, flexible deployment. This paper takes the bridging bus service under the disruption of urban rail transit as the research object and proposes a bridge bus scheme design method. This paper analyzes the passengers’ origin-destination (OD) demand from two aspects: 1) the affected form of passengers and the subsequent travel behavior; and 2) the model considers the nonstop routes. An optimization model with the objective of minimizing the total travel time of passengers is constructed and solved by the Elite Genetic Algorithm. We apply the proposed model to Suzhou Metro to verify its effectiveness in comparison with the traditional bus bridging scheme.
