This paper will present a methodology for assessing relative advantages, disadvantages and conditional implications of different habitat module choices and applications for lunar/ Mars settlements. The process is illustrated using a variety of module types, including conventional horizontal elements, and vertical and horizontal inflatable approaches. Considerations include surface transportation, site preparation, pressurization, outside viewing, and evolutionary settlement growth staging.
