The paper presents the main results of mathematical modelling of applied electromagnetic-acoustic transducers (EMAT) using the COMSOL Multiphysics software environment. For modelling purposes, two examples of EMAT were taken, the design of which uses a permanent magnet and an electromagnet. As a result of modelling, several models with different geometry features and parameters of excitation currents were obtained. The graphs of the magnetic fields distribution and arrow diagrams for the induction of the magnetic field are constructed. We also obtained a visualization of the solid object deformations, namely, surface graphs of elastic displacements, which show how elastic vibrations propagate in the material. Additionally, arrow graphs and visualizations of the distribution of eddy currents by density and depth of penetration into the object of investigation were constructed. The similarities and differences in the construction and results for the analysis of these models are described.
