In the article, an investigation on energy consumption of electric bicycles and small electric scooter is presented and a comparison is done. Two types of electric bicycles are included in research – one with front drive wheel and one other with central drive and gears. The small electric scooter has similar power and it type is so called “Trotinet”. The realized typical city route could give a good base of comparison, concerning the energy consumption of the vehicles. The original results are obtained and analysis is done. Advantages and disadvantages are shown in tables and in graphical form. The obtained energy consumption of two type of machines is quite similar, but the use comfort is different.
