The article considers approaches to modeling processes occurring in economic systems, including such an element as a law enforcement segment that implements security functions. The possibilities provided by the means of analysis and mathematical modeling in solving problems of forecasting the development of processes that contribute to the implementation of strategic planning and, in general, increase the efficiency of activities in this area are shown. A method of applying the maximum principle to describe the dynamics of such systems and the formation of optimal control of them is proposed. An approach has been developed to the design of a governing body that ensures the management of the security of financial and economic facilities and the movement of their characteristic indicators along an optimal trajectory.
