In this paper, consideration has been given to natural convection flow of radiating fluid over a horizontal circular disk. The density of the fluid is assumed to be the exponential function of temperature. The thermal radiation term is expressed by using the Rosseland diffusion approximation. The governing boundary-layer equations are transformed into suitable form by adopting primitive variable formulation. The parabolic partial differential equations thus obtained from primitive variable formulation are simulated numerically using the finite difference method together with the Gaussian elimination technique. Numerical results are discussed pertinent to the physical situation. The influence of several physical parameters, namely, the thermal radiation parameter R d , surface temperature parameter θ w , and volumetric expansion parameter λ , are interpreted graphically, showing their impact on the fluid flow in the underlying situation.
