    "This 'Special section on hypersonic boundary-layer transition prediction' represents the culmination of many years of work within the NATO Science & Technology Organization (STO) Applied Vehicle Technology (AVT) Task Group AVT-240. The task group, co-chaired by Steve Schneider of Purdue University and Rolf Radespiel of the Technical University of Braunschweig, has been conducting collaborative research among a very large group of participants since 2013. The task group presented the breadth of their activities at the 2018 AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 8-12 January 2018, and have now submitted eleven papers for this special section in the 'Journal of spacecraft and rockets." - Vorwort
