The matching technology of common rail system and diesel engine mainly includes the matching technology of the common rail system components and the optimization and injection control MAP optimization calibration technology. The parameters of the injection system mainly include the fuel injection parameters (injection pressure, injection starting point, etc.), the nozzle structure parameters, and the installation position of the injector. There are three commonly used optimization methods: manual optimization, off‐line steady‐state optimization, and on‐line automatic optimization. Manual calibration is a traditional calibration method. The calibration engineers adjust their control parameters according to their experience, and then test and record the comparison test results. The model based on the off‐line steady‐state optimization calibration method is used to calibrate and optimize the economy of a common rail diesel engine. The chapter uses the model based on the off‐line steady‐state optimization calibration method to calibrate and optimize the economy of a common rail diesel engine.
