Nowadays, due to the acceleration of economic development, people's living standards are constantly improving. The fast-paced life makes cars an indispensable means of transportation in our lives. As the density of road traffic increases, the time people spend on traffic is also increasing. Therefore, to save people from unnecessary time consumption on road, increasing the turning speed of the car to save time is a necessity. It is also the core of this paper. This paper reviews the current situation of China's road traffic. We select two kinds of cars to support our study: BMW M3 and Chevrolet Cavalier. On this basis, we introduced the principle of turning, analysed the force of the cars during turning, and we founded a model to simulate the vehicles using Python. Through the analysis, we found that when the mechanical model of the turning vehicle matches the linear force model, it has a more complete process of U-turn, and the trajectory is smoother. So we need to keep the slip angle small where it fits the linear model. We also simulated and analysed the ending time of the BMW M3 performs can complete a sharp U-turn under the nonlinear model, which is 5.59 seconds. In addition, we also found that, compared to Chevrolet Cavaliers, the BMW M3 has a faster turning time and a smoother trajectory. On the basis of the conclusions above, we also explored how to complete a U-turn fastest by changing the parameters in the equation. We hope to reduce the pressure on the turning lane by accelerating the turning speed of the cars, therefore improving the road traffic in China.
