This paper surveys Carbon Monoxide (CO) concentrations under various conditions during four different modes of transportation during inter-city air travel. The analysis describes: (1) a mobile receptor measurement system to quantify the extent of the CO exposure, (2) the reason for the CO fluctuations during the ground transportation segment of the inter-city trip, and (3) a precise method for evaluating passenger health-effects.
