During the fourth quarter of 1997, a safety perception survey was conducted on three offshore facilities operating by Phillips China Inc.(PCI) in the South China Sea. This survey evaluated the workforce, and their perceived EHS performance with emphasis concentrating on the influence of the different cultures and languages. Opportunities for improvement were identified and then an action plan was developed and implemented.
