When trains head into curves, passengers inside can feel gravity and centrifugal force pressing them into their seats, causing discomfort. An option to avoid this problem is to design trains that will tilt when negotiating curves on existing tracks so as to reduce centrifugal force on passenger yet maintain fast speeds on the ride. The trains derive their performance from their modular bogie, control and auxiliary systems, active lateral suspensions, and light-weight double-skin extruded aluminum cars.
