The temperature and velocity field variations in the passenger compartment are measured simultaneously for the panel-vent mode heating. The color images of the Thermochromic Liquid Crystal (TLC) particles are used for the velocity and temperature fields measurement at the same time. The temperature field variations in the vehicle interior are measured by using a true color image processing and TLC solution. Velocity field variations are measured by using the 2-frame Particle Tracking Velocimetry measurement technique. The measured temperature and velocity fields show a close relationship and good agreement.
