Surface pressure distributions and wake profiles were obtained for the NACA 63 2 215 aeorfoil with Gurney and 45 degree trailing edge flaps. The wind tunnel tests were made with flap chords in the range 2/3 % to 2 1/2 % of the aerofoil chord. Lift and drag data determined from the pressure measurements indicate a superior performance of the 45 degree trailing edge flap compared with the Gurney flap. The 2 % chord 45 degree trailing edge flap increased the maximum lift coefficient from 1,06 to about 1,4 with a maximum lift-to-drag ratio similar to that of the wing without flap but a higher value of the lift coefficient. At low to moderate lift coefficients the flapped aerofoil produced lower lift-to-drag ratio.
