Applicability of various schemes for correcting Laser Doppler Velocimetry bias in measurements made in the plane of symmetry of a wing-body juncture have been investigated. Due to the presence of multi-modal velocity distributions in the juncture, theoretical probability density function based methods could not be used. One-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional schemes based on the method of McLaughlin and Tiederman were evaluated. In general the magnitude of 'correction' reduced with increasing the number of components in the total velocity. However in regions of seperation the inverse was observed. Certain anamolous points with unrealistically large corrections were also observed.
