Train is one of the most important modern transportations. The wheel of the train is manufactured by means of forging and rolling. It has different types, and each intersection geometry through the diameter is very complex, having many parts of arcs tangent to each other and arc tangent to line. The traditional on-the-board method of calculating and drawing is characterized by complex process, enormous calculating and long cycle. It is reliable to mistake, and may lead to greater calculating and drawing error. Modern manufacture makes it necessary to shorten the period of wheel design and enhance quality. This article will roughly introduce a computer aided design and drawing system suitable to several main types of wheel home and abroad.
