The computer simulation of missile flight dynamics requires missile aerodynamic stability coefficients as continuous functions of flight parameters. Presently, the accurate information on missile aerodynamic characteristics is mainly derived from measurements on a missile scale model in the wind tunnel. The use of wind tunnel data in six-degree-of-freedom simulation programs involves interpolation of the test data. A compact, fast and accurate three dimensional (Mach, roll attitude and angle of attack) interpolation method is presented.
