An overview of the TSAM concept is presented, and a description of the TSAM configuration (including antennas) is given. A representative set of measured TSAM antenna patterns and isolation results are shown, which illustrate the ease of identifying platform-scattering effects unambiguously and accurately. A set of TSAM radiation patterns and isolation data are used to perform preliminary validation studies, using computed patterns and isolation data from the Rome Laboratory GEMACS code. A brief description is also given of a proposed second-generation TSAM, the purpose of which will be to expand the capabilities and accuracy of the present TSAM, to serve as a national benchmark for antenna/platform CEM problems.
