For pt.1 see ibid., no.1, p.37-9 and 42 (Jan. 1994). This part sets out two methods of determination of the optimal commutation angles for a given application. 'Static' strategies which relate the carrier and modulation frequencies to the output voltage are compared with 'dynamic' ones defining the optimal phase of transition from one given modulation to the next. These and the dimensioning of the filter with regard to its resonance frequency are connected by the minimum allowable frequency for output voltage harmonics.
