The dynamics of particle and metal contamination from gas cylinders, regulators, and valves are examined. Metal content in cylinder gas was measured and compared with particle counting results. For the cases studied, results suggest that the metal impurities existing the form of unevenly distributed particles and that the cylinder valves is a significant source of metal contamination in corrosive gas applications.
