In the last five years two German companies with the support of the German Ministry of Research and Technology (BMFT) have developed two different GPS-receivers for navigation applications. Both companies have already not only tested their GPS-receivers but have combined their products with the Anti-lock-breaking-system of a car, or the other has already tested the Diff-GPS for the possibility of aircraft blind landing Cat. I. Both receivers worked quite well and both companies have demonstrated their capability to meet our high exspectations. Unfortunately the GPS-satellite to be launched are behind schedule, therefore the two German companies cannot sell their products and if the GPS-system will be completed in the year 1991 other technologies with smaller and cheaper receivers will be on the market.
