High-end passive safety systems like pyrotechnical airbag inflators require the parallel development of materials, processes and products. While steel suppliers offer a wide range of innovative high strength steel grades, component suppliers like Benteler Rothrist need to optimize processes to enable the use of a tailored steel grade such as a high-strength dual-phase steel for an ambitious product like the above mentioned one.
