The performance test of NVH is first conducted with regard to the original car in this paper. Based on the results, it is extrapolated that this problem mainly attributes to insufficient stiffness of right longitudinal beam of bodywork. By performing cause analysis, it is understood that right longitudinal beam stiffness can be indirectly improved by enhancing the stiffness of radiator frame. The optimized design is performed in respect of the radiator frame structure. Combined with the CAE's analysis results and NVH's test validation, it is concluded that longitudinal beam stiffness can be significantly improved by adjusting the thickness of upper cross member of radiator from 0.8 to 1.5 mm, and increasing eight post reinforcements at the same time, thereby satisfying the NVH's requirements.
