Currently at ESOC the monitoring of ground station operations and health of the ESA Tracking Network (ESTRACK) is provided with a number of monitoring displays per ground station inside the ESTRACK Control Center (ECC). The primary role of the ESTRACK Coordination System (ECS) is to aggregate the monitoring information of whole ground station network to a single operator position via a single set of monitoring displays. ECS focuses on monitoring the execution of spacecraft support schedules on the ground stations and a set of parameters representing the health and state of the ground station equipment. Additionally ECS archives all the incoming monitoring information and forwards a subset of the monitoring parameters to interested Mission Control Systems. This paper presents the functionality, architecture and implementation aspects of the ECS along with future directions.
