The analysis of influence of ABS for time and a way of a friction of brake-shoe linings of cars is carried out, classification and characteristics of modes of behaviour of brake gears is resulted, the analysis of dynamics of speeds of the car for definition of a way of a friction of pairs a drum/overlay and road/wheel is offered. The experimental testing of ABS working mode influence on brake lining wear intensity, the determination of friction way at car ABS-braking and main assumption correctness has been conducted on the Motorbus Typ 'Volzanin-5270'. Results: The friction pair brakedrum-brake lining of the bus with ABS possesses a 1.5-3.1 times greater friction way, a 1.2-2 times greater wear intensity and a 6-24% less contact time than a friction pair without ABS.
