The main technical characteristics and parameter's influence for wheel vehicle mobility improvement are considered. The construction of the modern armoured transporter with double application Pandur II (Germany) are compared with Russian cross-country cargo vehicles and another analogs. Some advantages and specific properties of foreign model are given. It is useful for development of competitive automotive products in Russia. The maneuverability of a wheel vehicle is determined by the height of its centre of gravity, the brake system and by the steering system with regard to stability and controllability. The brake system efficiency of the German armoured transporter Pandur II is increased by means of a wheel lock control.
