A review of a pipeline integrity plan that used to rehabilitate large segments of a natural gas pipeline, is presented. The Promigas pipeline integrity plan extends from the production sites in South America to the Jobo Terminal in Colombia. The activities during the plan includes, selecting a coating, repairing pipeline sections, prioritizing work zones, completing legal and environmental permits, defining safety conditions, redesigning cathodic protection (CP), testing CP, and increasing CP reliability. The plan involves selecting user and environment-friendly products to reduce the environmental and health risks. The criteria for prioritizing work zones include the risk index related to a populated area and the impact area of the pipeline. The plan also has a high-resolution smart-pigging internal inspection program for pipeline integrity.
