In the present paper a model for full automatically straightening of buckling in shipbuilding is developed and a numerical controlled equipment ist designed and constructed. The developed software allows to conduct the mathematical analysis of the process of heating a round spot in thin metal sheet and to calculate temporary and residual distributions of temperature, plastic strains and stresses. In full mechanized thermal straightening of welded plate construction the mathematical modeling and corresponding software will seek for optimal parameters of heated spot to obtain maximum plastic strains of shrinkage in metal sheet without local buckling and define the necessary quantity of such spots of heating and their arrangement through the surface of buckling region in welded plate construction. A straightening machine was built, which enables the prediction of the surface topography of the buckling with a laser sensor. The program calculates the most efficient straightening figure (point, circle, strip, spiral) and all the dates to control the straightening process for the selected figure, as power of heating, time of heating, distance between the torch and the surface of the plate, rate of movement. Other advantages mentioned are the fast processingand the control of operating temperature, that restrict the overheating of sensible material with structure transformation. The machine can straight a wide variety of materials, e.g. aluminum alloys, titanium with plate thicknesses in the range from 1 mm up to 8 mm.
