The world's electric power utilization will probably more than double by 2050. Efforts will be made for reducing the share of fossil fuel, presently close to 10.000 TwH/year; thus favouring: - Hydropower supplying; - Nuclear plants; - Wind and solar energy. The present world electricity supply is 15.000 TwH/year. It includes 3.000 TwH/year of Hyropower using 300.000 km2 of artificial lakes with a peaking capacity of 700 Gw. 3.000 TwH/year of tidal and wind energy could be supplied by large basins offshore or along shore occupying about 80.000 km2 at sea. New solutions presented here would guarantee there a total peaking capacity over 1.000 Gw and quite all energy could be available during 16 hours per day according to main needs. Such schemes require no new technology. Tidal and wind turbines may be standardized. The corresponding cost appears in the range of or lower than 10 cents of U.S. Dollar per KwH. Requiring no resettlement, these basins could favour many other activities such as tourism, industries, harbour facilities, aquaculture. They should avoid onshore along thousands of km high waves and the highest sea levels such as linked with climate warming or tsunamis. They may be of interest for countries totaling 80 % of the world population. Most could be implemented before 2050 if using one per thousand of the income of relevant countries. This energy is totaly renewable and the yearly supply is perfectly known in advance.
