When studying the dynamic characteristics of a drive with a standalone power source, the accumulator battery is usually assumed to be a link without inertia. However, if a pulse current flows through a chemical source, the complete impedance acquires capacitive and inductive components. A generalized structural scheme of the chemical source of a current is presented. It is shown that the complete internal impedance depends on frequency. Based on the structural scheme, a mathematical model of the accumulator battery is developed and the discharge and frequency characteristics of the power source are determined. This scheme may be used for studying the static and dynamic properties of battery-driven transportation vehicles. A comparison of the frequency characteristics of the developed model with similar experimental data for an accumulator battery shows that they are fully identical.
