As a comfort index of car cabins with seats, we focused on human skin temperature that correlates with thermal perception. To estimate whole-body skin temperature distribution, we developed a combined method of analyzing human and seat thermal models using cabin computational fluid dynamics (CFD). We verified a method of predicting thermal sensation and comfort using a skin temperature-based psychological model, rather than the existing thermal comfort index method.
