CNH America LCC first introduced the Yield Monitoring Systems into its AFS umbrella in 1995. It consisted of a GPS receiver, a yield sensor with moisture and temperature correction, a smart display and desktop software. Light-Bar Guidance and the EZ-Guide Plus System brought CNH into the guidance arena. The natural extension of light-bar technology is the development of the Auto guidance system. In this paper, the Auto guidance systems that CNH has introduced is described in detail. It is available for the high horsepower tractors of CNH in particular for the magnum and TG models as well as the STX and TJ models. The differentiating factors between the three offerings are the hardware used, software and the correction signal. The main components are the Steering sensor, the steering valve, the navigation controller, the remote data logger, the GP antenna and the VT display.
