Fracture toughness testing of high toughness C458 was performed, leading to the observation of delamination cracking. Data from the study were used to quantify and model the stress conditions necessary for the occurrence of delamination at room temperature in C458. Generally, the study provided information necessary for designing cryotanks to avoid delamination during service.
