The high image quality with a reflective color TFT-LCD has been developed for mobile display tools. Normally white mode reflective TN cells with a single polarizer optimised construction and optical element design of twist angle, birefringence make excellent results on the LCD, such as over 16 % high reflectance, 1:25 high contrast ratio, and wide viewing angle in the panel state. Especially, in order to get the reflective LCDs cell process development characteristic, the reflective TN mode TFT-LCD high cell gap structure by the LCs with standard dielectric anisotropy was studied. As a result, the cell gap was improved by the polarization rotation effect.
