Es wird ein aktives System (SAVIP) zur Schwingungsisolierung und hochgenauen Ausrichtung von ausfaltbaren parallelkinematischen Strukturen für die Raumfahrt, z.B. High-Precision Large Deployable Space Antennas (HLDSA) von Radioteleskopen, vorgestellt, das auf die in den Streben der Stewart-Plattform eingebauten Einkoordinatenmanipulatoren wirkt. Die Steuersignale erhält das System SAVIP HLDSA von einem Neurocomputer, in dem die Probleme mittels einer speziellen Software in Echtzeit verarbeitet werden. Die von den Sensoren kommenden Vektorinformationen werden parallelverarbeitet. Das erste Full-Scale-Modell von SAVIP ist an einen Pilotensitz, eine Plattform mit sechs Freiheitsgraden, angebaut.
