Electronics is very well known through every day life: telephone, TV, computers, etc. Electronics deals with low level signals. At the end, the system is built to drive a physical phenomenon: heat, HP, control a chemical bath, etc. Electronic circuits will not only carry a signal, but also manage the energy and by the way they will be immersed in new physical laws until now far from the discipline. Thermodynamical laws show that the energy is easily changed into heat that should be dissipated. Faraday and Lenz laws show that storing energy or inertia are not very easy to deal with, and reactions are quite violent. Nevertheless power electronics has taken a very important position in many techniques, thanks to its changeability, large possibilities and the reliability given to the whole system.
