In vehicles that only have a central motor a lot of mechanical components are necessary to bring the motor's torque to each wheel. Powering all wheels by conventional electro motors as a consequence the wheels mass increases extremely so that powerful shock-absorbers are necessary. Besides to get freewheel conditions each motor needs a separate gear transmission. These additional mechanical components are superfluous by the use of electromotors with an axial air-gap guiding. Only such machines make a radial moving between stator and rotor possible. This paper describes a modified induction motor which is predestinated for a real allwheel drive system. Furthermore this innovation saves raw materials as well as it does not need oil and grease for lubrication. Like linear motors this new type of an ac-machine is an open system, that means its production and installation is most simple and cheap.
