The dynamic analysis of the torsion oscillations on the locomotive rolling stock shaft to minimize the time of sliping of the shaft at high loads and moments is given. The electrical motor, the gear box and the stock shaft are taken as a three-mass system and mathematically modelled, taking into account the dumping of the friction of the wheel and rail, and the selfinduced oscillations. The equation system contains the selfinduced dumped oscillations due the influence of the pulsating factors of the moment and the stick-slip effect, can be used for computer calculations and dimensioning of the antislip protection.
