Recognizing the potential of electronics to increase tractor productivity and fitness for use, Ford introduced the optional electronic Tractor Performance Monitor in October 1983. This was the first step toward a new generation of electronic instrumentation for Ford tractors. Now Ford, in a joint program with DICKEY-john, has developed a New Generation electronic instrumentation package to be offered worldwide.
