The objectives of this research program are to reduce tooling costs for a composite tail rotor blade; reduce bond cure cycle time spans; and realize energy savings when compared to the conventional autoclave cure system. A thermally efficient mold bond insert and structure was designed and fabricated. Three bearingless tail rotor blades for a light helicopter were manufactured. (DePo)
