The paper derives and discusses the local equilibrium and non-equilibrium thermodynamics of multi-component interface layer, modeled as a streamsurface, and formulates the surface balance equations for all the extensive properties defining the local thermofluiddynamics state of the interface. These include besides, momentum, internal energy and total mole numbers, additional mole parameters needed to account for species normal diffusion across the layer. The set of equations presented in the paper represents the complete and coherent set of interface boundary conditions for the bulk-phases field equations. The analysis is limited to steady state conditions and uncharged, unpolarized layers. (DePo)
