A new DTNSRDC waterjet inlet experimental facility capable of simulating cavitating conditions which exist on the waterjet inlets of highspeed dynamic-lift type craft is thoroughly described. Included is a detailed discussion of the design and calibration of a new six-component force and moment dynamometer. The primary purpose of this report is to serve as a reference manual for future users of the waterjet inlet testing facility by providing background information, and by demonstrating the measurement capabilities of the system.
