Renault has embarked on a multi-million pound major new programme of computerisation that will bring its entire UK dealer network into the age of computerised communications - and ahead of its competitors. Renault dealers are now able to place their vehicle orders direct into the parent company's Paris computer center under what is termed 'DVOS', or Direct Vehicle Ordering System. Cutting costs, delivery times, stocking time, administration and staff time, and the need for 2-3 months' forward order forecasting, the system will directly and indirectly benefit both dealers and customers by getting closer yet to placing the right vehicle in the right place at the right time.
