Measurements are reported of the absorption intensity due to the 4I11/2=4F3/2 transition in various Nd-doped silicate and phosphate laser glasses. The temperature range was 300-720K. Stimulated emission cross-sections were calculated and compared with other data, indicating that the integrated intensity of the 4F3/2=4I11/2 transition was almost independent of the population of Stark levels involved.
