The problem of guiding an instrumented aircraft to follow a preassigned trajectory using the Portable Automatic Calibration Tracker (PACT) data is considered in this paper. Guidance control is formulated as an optimal linear state regulator problem for a discrete time-delayed system. Responses to some flight courses of interest have been achieved through computer system simulation. Post-flight test data obtained from the PACT confirm the basic validity of the theoretical results.
