The application of a single-target module approach to measure relative orientations (range, bearing, and attitude) for space operations is presented. In particular, the theory and hardware of a unique attitude determination method which uses wavelength and polarization measurements from a single-target is described along with experimental docking scenario measurements. The advantages of the single-target approach versus existing multiple-target approaches are compared with respect to hardware complexity, operation, and performance.
