A signal separation technique is described that allows 2 co-frequency radio signals, that are received as a combination of signals, to be separated into 2 high quality outputs (with good signal to interference ratios). The main application is in adaptive nulling systems for military radio, in order to combat interference and jamming. The signal separation technique does not have the limitations of the more conventional power inversion nulling techniques that are commonly used in communication systems. Signal separation may be achieved even when the 2 signals are received at approximately the same power level - a situation in which conventional nulling systems fail.
