The paper will present quantitative results on the SIR-B data analysis with respect to significant target characteristics such as texture and statistical moments. These results will be presented as a function of the incidence angle. Furthermore a comparison with high resolution airborne data will be documented to demonstrate the influence of the spatial resolution on the derivable signatures. The next step will be a correlation of SIR-B data with TM data and an experiment in providing a classification of the German test site by this multichannel data set.
