A numerical model of the X-ray deposition region is described in which the primary emission electrons are modeled by cloud-in-cell macroparticle techniques while the secondary air ionization electron currents are modeled by a set of fluid equations which include transport effects. Comparisons are made between model predictions and experimental data taken from the literature and are shown to be in resonable agreement.
