A model is developed to guide the military planners on the choice of a new military transport aircraft fleet for Canada. It discusses the fleet problem in light of the satisfaction of military requirements, the maximization of industrial benefits, and the minimization of operating costs. The aircraft capability of the fleet is obtained by means of simulation. Worth assessment procedure is then employed to establish a preference relationship.
